Ready to leave the city behind and head into the heart of nature, toward endless shades of green? The Private Elevit Plateau Tour from Trabzon begins at your preferred time, with a private pick-up from your hotel or selected meeting point. As we travel comfortably toward Çamlıhemşin in Rize, the magical landscapes of the Black Sea accompany us along the way.
Our first major stop is the famous Fırtına Valley, named after its powerful river. As we move deeper into the valley, we listen to nature’s symphony, and for guests who wish, we start the day with exciting activities such as zipline or rafting. Our journey continues along historic stone arch bridges. We take a break at Şenyuva (Çinçiva) Bridge, made famous by many TV series, and then visit the impressive Zilkale, rising on a steep rock like an eagle’s nest. After this point where history and nature blend together, we continue ascending through the peaceful forest landscape of Çat Valley.
At the highest point of the day, the clouds welcome you to Elevit Plateau. At 1,800 meters above sea level, Elevit charms visitors with its traditional wooden houses, gently flowing stream and majestic mountains. During our free time, you can walk along flower-covered paths and feel the refreshing cold water of the streams. As the fresh mountain air will increase your appetite, we plan lunch at local restaurants where you can taste authentic Black Sea cuisine.
Optional Visit: Palovit Waterfall
On the return journey, if you would like to extend the adventure, we can change our route to Palovit Waterfall. Known as the most powerful waterfall in the national park, this natural wonder offers a magical atmosphere for those who don’t mind getting wet and want to capture unique photos.
At the end of the tour, depending on the timing, we stop at Rize Tea Bazaar for a pleasant shopping break. In this area, famous for its giant tea-glass statue, you can relax with a cup of traditional Rize tea and shop for local souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones. After this enjoyable finale, we return to Trabzon, our starting point, and complete our tour.
Before You Go: This tour mainly starts from Trabzon city center. Guests staying in hotels located in Rize city center may also join. At the end of the tour, you can be dropped off at your hotel in Trabzon, or at Trabzon or Rize Airport. Your guide will assist with these arrangements.
