Day 1: Sumela Monastery, Zigana Pass, and Hamsiköy Tour
Your tour begins at Trabzon Airport following your flight from Istanbul. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our local team, and we will set off toward the scenic routes of the Eastern Black Sea.
Our first stop is the world-famous Sumela Monastery, located within Altindere National Park. After an approximately one-hour scenic drive from Trabzon, we reach the park and enjoy a short walk through nature. Passing along historic stone stairways and aqueducts, we arrive at the monastery itself. Accompanied by your professional guide, you will explore key sections such as the chapels, monks’ rooms, and the Main Rock Church, gaining insight into the deep history of this extraordinary site.
After the Sumela visit, we continue toward Zigana Pass, one of the most important crossings of the historic Silk Road. Here, you will enjoy panoramic mountain views and the lush green landscapes of the Black Sea region during short photo stops. Our journey then continues to Hamsikoy, located at an altitude of approximately 2,050 meters. You will have free time for lunch and the opportunity to taste the village’s famous Hamsikoy rice pudding.
At the end of the day, we return to Trabzon city center and check in to your hotel. The evening is at leisure, allowing you to explore the city or relax at your hotel.
Day 2: Uzungol and Haldizen Valley Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, we complete check-out procedures and depart for Uzungol, one of the most iconic natural attractions of the Eastern Black Sea. Along the way, we make short stops at a Surmene knife factory outlet and a local tea factory, where you can learn about traditional craftsmanship and observe the tea production process.
Our journey continues through the scenic Solakli Valley, surrounded by landscapes showcasing every shade of green. Upon arrival in Uzungol, we first stop at popular viewpoints such as the Observation Terrace and Artificial Waterfalls, offering excellent photo opportunities and stunning views of the lake and its surroundings.
You will then have free time in Uzungol to walk around the lake, relax at cafés and restaurants, or explore the nearby natural areas at your own pace. After completing the program, we begin our return journey and transfer you to Trabzon Airport.
