Full description

We set out from the hotel in the morning and move to Ordu, where our journey starts along the coastal road of Tirebolu in the marvelous town of Giresun and have a break to drink tea. After that we'll visit Giresun Castle with its historical magnificence where we can see a panoramic view of the city before reaching Ordu.

Ordu is the starting point of Eastern Black Sea with its natural beauties and the mountains that form its nature, go through the sea in many areas. Boztepe is 450m high, where the city can be watched in various ways. The city is the world's largest hazelnut producer, hence, hazelnut is considered the main source of income. The Sagra Factory Shop, selling many varieties of chocolate-covered hazelnuts, is one of the attractions of the town. The Boztepe Aerial Tramway (Telefrik) is another popular attraction which is set to become a modern symbol for the city. Since June 2012, the Aerial Lift system provides an easy way of transportation between the city's coastline and the hilltop. The cuisine is primarily based on local vegetables and includes both typical Turkish dishes -such as pide and kebab -and more interesting foods like plain or caramel 'burnt ice-cream'. The city of Ordu is distinguished with the ancient houses in the old city center. One of them is the Paşaoğlu Mansion. This great mansion is converted into Ethnography Museum and was considered as a splendid civil architectural example of 19th century.

We can also, if there's time, go to downtown of Ordu for shopping and purchasing souvenirs, or visiting some of its ancient historic mosques or have a nice picnic by the seaside and take unforgettable photos of this attractive city.

On the way back to Trabzon we'll visit Sagra Chocolate Factory shop to buy gifts. We will end this trip with some amazing tasting chocolate and return to Trabzon.
