I really enjoyed this trip from start to finish. Everything was well organized, beginning with a smooth airport pickup and continuing through our journey across Trabzon. The visit to Sumela Monastery was a highlight, and the itinerary was thoughtfully planned to make the most of our limited time. Covering both Sumela and Uzungol in a single day could have felt rushed, but the pacing was excellent and never overwhelming. Our guide, Taner, was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly detail-oriented. I unfortunately don’t remember the driver’s name, but he was just as integral to the experience. Together, they handled the trip on a very personal level and never made us feel like outsiders. The final part of the day made the experience even more memorable—a relaxing seaside dinner followed by a walk through downtown Trabzon. It’s a moment I won’t forget. Considering we only had one day, the tour exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend Turkish City wonders.

Arriving early in the morning with a direct flight from Istanbul to Trabzon, your adventure begins the moment you land! This exclusive tour is carefully planned to start at Trabzon Airport, where we’ll meet you upon arrival. You will explore two of the Black Sea’s iconic landmarks throughout the day. At the end of the tour, we will transfer you either back to the airport or to your hotel in Trabzon city center, depending on your preference. You can arrange your flight tickets, or we can assist you with flight options during booking.

Our first stop is the historical wonder Sumela Monastery, a journey deep into history. After an enjoyable one-hour drive, we arrive at Altındere National Park. From here, a short ride on the national park shuttle and a 350-meter walk along a scenic path bring us to the monastery, famous for its stone steps and ancient aqueducts. Accompanied by our guide, you’ll explore the chapels, student rooms, the Rock Church, and more, as you delve into the rich history of this remarkable site.

After this fascinating visit, we continue our journey to another natural marvel, Uzungol. The drive offers breathtaking views of the Black Sea’s mountains and valleys. Upon arriving at Uzungöl, we visit the renowned Observation Terrace to take in the stunning panoramas. Next, we explore spots like the Artificial Waterfalls, where you’ll feel the serenity of nature at every turn. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake and capture unforgettable moments with your camera.

Our local agency will contact you before the tour departure time and, if applicable, may request your flight information. Additionally, you will need to complete the Participant Information Form, which is provided in your reservation confirmation email.

Lunch Break Options: You are free to choose the time and place for lunch during the tour. Your guide will provide suggestions based on your preferences.
