Welcome to Trabzon, the pearl of the Black Sea! Upon your arrival in the city, our friendly team will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in a private vehicle. Hotel check-in will be available from 2:00 PM, but early arrivals can enjoy the hotel facilities or take a short walk to explore Trabzon city center. The historic Ortahisar and the natural beauty of Ganita coast are just a few steps away. If you wish to extend your stay in Trabzon before or after the tour, our team will be happy to assist you. Get ready to experience Trabzon's rich culture and natural beauty!
After breakfast, we set out to explore Sümela Monastery. After approximately an hour's pleasant journey, we reach Altındere National Park. While enjoying the natural beauty of the park, we take a short journey with the Millipark shuttles and a path walk to reach Sumela Monastery. With our guide, you will explore important sections of the historic monastery, such as the chapels, student rooms, and the Main Rock Church, and witness the thousands of years of history of this mystical structure.
After visiting the monastery, we head towards the nature-filled Zigana Pass. Located on the historic Silk Road, this pass is a must-see for both nature lovers and history enthusiasts. At Zigana, you will enjoy breathtaking views of nature and take plenty of photos. Next, we move on to famous Hamsiköy. Here, you can enjoy a lunch of traditional Black Sea cuisine and be sure to try the region's signature famous Hamsiköy rice pudding. At the end of this unforgettable day immersed in nature, you are dropped off at your hotel in Trabzon, where you can spend the rest of the day either relaxing or exploring the city center at your leisure.
After a delicious breakfast with stunning views of the Black Sea, we set off for the natural wonder Uzungöl. Our first stop on the way is Sürmene, where we visit the factory outlet store of the famous Sürmene knives. Here, you can get a close look at the renowned knives of the Black Sea and buy some as gifts if you wish. Our next stop is a tea factory! Learn how the famous Black Sea tea is produced, do some tastings, and purchase premium quality tea.
We then continue our journey along Solaklı Valley, surrounded by lush nature, until we arrive at Uzungöl. At the famous viewing terrace of Uzungöl, we witness the mesmerizing scenery of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Afterward, we visit the artificial waterfalls and, during the free time given around Uzungöl, you can join nature walks or enjoy the view from the lakeside cafes. After spending this free time in the peaceful atmosphere of Uzungöl, we depart for Trabzon at 4:00 PM. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel, based on your preference. This tour, filled with the mesmerizing nature and culture of the Black Sea, concludes with unforgettable memories.
Our tour will end between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Trabzon Airport and Trabzon City Center. Airport transfers will be made between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM. We recommend booking your return flight tickets for 8:30 PM or later.
Hotels: You will be staying at one of the following hotels or similar, subject to availability. Our hotels are in the city center. After a day of adventure and fun alone with nature, you will have the opportunity to benefit from all activities within walking distance of your hotel in the city center.
Participant List Contact:
You will be contacted prior to the tour for the participant name list. Additionally, you are required to fill out the Participant Information Form included in the reservation confirmation email.
Pick-up and Drop-off Service: Pick-up services are provided from Trabzon Airport, intercity bus terminal, and city center hotels. Please contact us for any additional requests.
Information: The operations department staff will inform you about the tour details and departure times. All participants must be ready in the hotel lobby at least 15 minutes before the tour begins. If the bus is delayed, participants should not leave the meeting point.
Right to Change Dates and Times: The operator reserves the right to change the tour dates and times. For example, the dates of Uzungöl and Sümela Monastery tours may be swapped.
End of the Tour and Return: The tour will end between 18:00-19:00 at Trabzon Airport and Trabzon City Center. Airport transfers will be available between 19:00-23:00. We recommend booking your return flights for 20:30 or later.

I recently spent two very pleasant days touring the Trabzon region with Turkish City Wonders. The first day centered on Uzungol and the second on Sumela Monastery. Both were excellent, thanks to our guide Irem, a lovely, considerate and very knowledgeable young lady, and also to our very competent driver Husain. The needs of the traveler were always taken into consideration, including pickup at my hotel of arrival and drop off at my final hotel in Trabzon. Thank to all concerned, especially Irem, for a great introduction to the beautiful Black Sea region of Türkiye.
